BENELLI

Benelli Armi S.p.A. was formed in 1967. However, the idea behind the company first came to the Benelli brothers as an offshoot of the famous Benelli motorcycle company of Pesaro.

The Benelli brothers were passionate hunters and fine engineers and, at that time, were already convinced that the future of hunting shotguns lay with semi-automatic models. This idea became a reality when a brilliant designer from Bologna, Bruno Civolani, invented a revolutionary action.

Civolani’s design created an extraordinary hunting shotgun that used a simple inertia-driven mechanism instead of a conventional gas-operated system.

With the bolt providing all the movement needed, this revolutionary design provided the fastest reloading action the world had ever seen and permitted shooters to fire five rounds in less than a second.

The Super 90 series feature the proprietary Benelli inertia recoil system, known for its reliability and easy maintenance. Because the action is inertia driven instead of the traditional gas cycling operation, it can fire and reliably cycle lighter loads.

Benelli and Benelli USA have been owned by Pietro Beretta SpA since 2000.

LUPO KAOS

June 2023, Accokeek, MD – Let the KAOS begin!

The new LUPO KAOS is a limited-edition series of premium, high-performance hunting rifles. Each gun comes in one of several custom color combinations that are artfully hand-distressed to give you a unique addition to your collection. No two rifles are alike…but the LUPO KAOS is more than just custom aesthetics.

This precision bolt-action rifle includes dozens of elevated features such as a Crio-treated, free-floating barrel for sub-MOA accuracy, an adjustable stock with Benelli’s patented Progressive Comfort System for proper shooting mechanics, and it’s chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor — a cartridge that is equally adept for all-purpose hunting or long-distance shooting. The LUPO KAOS is the total package.

THE RECEIVER & FURNITURE

The trigger is adjustable from 2.2 to 4.4 pounds, with adjustable trigger reach spacers for a custom fit.

The adjustable Benelli-patented Progressive Comfort System for proper shooting mechanics uses Spacers to allow a length of pull adjustment from 13.8 to 14.75 inches, and the stock is hand-distressed Cerakote, so no two are alike.

THE BARREL & BOLT

Free-Floating Crio Barrel features guaranteed sub-M.O.A. accuracy, a 1-in-8-inch twist rate, and threaded 5/8 x 24. The barrel is finished in a hand-distressed Cerakote so that no two barrels are alike.

THE VERDICT

The KAOS is equally adept for all-purpose hunting or long-distance shooting. In comparison, it is essentially the same as previous LUPO models. The differences are that the KAOS is chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor and the hand-distressed Cerakote finish, ensuring all rifles are

unique.

As part of the introduction of the KAOS, head into any participating Benelli dealer, pick up a LUPO, and snap a photo of you holding this breakout high-performance rifle. Upload the image to your social media accounts with the hashtags #BenelliKAOS and #LupoKAOS, and you will be entered into a drawing for the free trip to the Outdoor Solutions school (drawing to be held August 1, 2023).

If you take the next step and purchase a LUPO KAOS, you can register the gun and be one of ten lucky winners of a Steiner Predator 8 scope (a $2,000 value) that precisely matches your unique firearm.

Of those ten lucky recipients, one will be chosen to win a trip to an Outdoor Solutions school in 2024 to dial in their kit out to 1,000 yards (drawing to be held August 1, 2023). It could be you.

That’s all for now, folks! Please keep sending in your questions, tips, and article ideas. And as always – “Let’s Be Careful Out There.”
