The dangerous act committed by this top Democrat could change everything.
Gun owners are under threat thanks to his proclamation.
And he has refused to take back his outrageous lie.
Democrats know that they are on unstable ground when they are talking about the Second Amendment, since the meaning of it is quite clear.
They will try to spin it as something that actually gives state governments the right to bear arms, not the people of this country, despite the actual words of the amendment.
This makes no sense logically since every other right in the Bill of Rights before the 10th Amendment is an individual right.
The Bill of Rights was not drafted to give rights to the government, and it defies logic that the framers would have written such a prominent amendment – the second one in the entire document – for the sake of governments.
On top of that, the amendment clearly refers to “the people” in its very text.
This is an impossible stumbling block for Democrats, and now Rep. Jerry Nadler, a leading member of Congress, has taken to simply rewriting the amendment to leave that part out in an attempt to endanger the rights of gun owners.
According to Bearing Arms, “There are times when you can quote parts of something, omit a bit in the middle, and not really change the meaning. Those middle parts are often superfluous to the meaning and so they can be omitted without a problem.
“But if someone does that, they need to be prepared to be challenged. After all, in many other cases, removing something from the middle can drastically change the meaning of the quote.”
The article goes on to link to a video of Nadler at a committee meeting, where he quotes the entire Second Amendment minus the words “the people” in an attempt to make it sound like it doesn’t actually give individuals the right to bear arms.
The fact that he would lie so blatantly shows the lengths he and other Democrats are willing to go to in order to remove gun rights from the Constitution.
The article continues, “Note that Nadler specifically says the word ‘quote’ before beginning to recite most of the Second Amendment. Yet by omitted ‘the people,’ he changed everything.”
“Nadler’s omission wasn’t likely to be a simple mistake.”
“First, Nadler’s anti-gun sentiments are well-known and well-documented. He’s a proponent of the view that the Second Amendment is a collective right, which is easier to sell to the American public if you remove ‘the people’ from the text entirely.”
“As for paraphrasing, well, that would be easier to accept if he hadn’t used the word ‘quote’ before reciting part of the Second Amendment. You don’t use that particular word when you’re not intending to quote something.”
The Constitution doesn’t say what anti-gun Democrats want it to say, so they’ll just pretend it says something else.
It’s a deceitful practice, but what else is new in politics?
Gun rights supporters are simply going to have to go the extra mile to remind Americans about what the Second Amendment actually says.
