The ATF is an institution that has done a lot of damage over the years.
Gun owners everywhere want them to be reined in.
And Donald Trump should pay close attention to this latest breaking news.
The ATF has developed a reputation for being very aggressive with the tactics they use to wield power on behalf of the gun control agenda.
They were famously the ones who initiated the Waco siege in 1993 that lead to the deaths of dozens of people in a fire, including women and children.
They raided the house of the executive director of an Arkansas airport not long ago and wound up shooting him dead.
And now a Wyoming couple is speaking out about their experience being raided by the ATF for what they say were legal guns.
Donald Trump is going to have an opportunity to do something about this agency, and he should pay close attention to the story this couple is telling.
Guns may not be the issue he cares about the most, but millions of his voters care very deeply about the issue, and they want to see him protect their interests.
According to the Cowboy State Daily, “Randy Kane was sound asleep in the wee hours Nov. 23, 2023, when, without warning, absolute chaos broke loose.”
“A team of federal agents, armed and in full gear, showed up at the door of the home he shares with Noreen Scroggins in Big Horn, a small community in Sheridan County, he said.
“The agents were there to serve a search warrant for Kane’s house, pickup and person. The warrant was based upon accusations that, as a convicted felon, he was in illegal possession of numerous firearms.”
Kane strongly disagreed, and he had proof that his firearms were legally owned and the ATF had no business raiding him.
Now he is telling everyone the full story about what happened to him, and it should serve as a warning about the ATF.
The article continues, “Kane and Scroggins said they were baffled because, as they understood it, Kane’s firearms rights had been restored by the state of Wyoming.
“And he had a certificate from Gov. Mark Gordon’s office to prove it.
“But the time for those arguments would come later, Kane said. In the moment, he felt he had no choice but to comply.
“‘I got the full-blown mob squad. I think if I had resisted, they would have shot me,’ he said.”
The fact that he said this, and other instances demonstrate that it may in fact be true, is something that should worry everybody.
Even if someone doesn’t own guns, they should be concerned about the fact that a government agency in the U.S. is engaging in these types of tactics against apparently innocent people.
It’s a good thing that Kane is speaking out about the experiences he had with the ATF.
Hopefully Trump will pay attention to this story and do something about the ATF before they harm someone else with their aggressive tactics.
