The usual suspects got together in the House of Representatives on Wednesday to chip away at the Constitution.  Ignoring their oath of office, the House passed the omnibus gun control package dubbed the “Protecting Our Kids Act” by a vote of 223-204.

The bills would:

  • Raise the purchasing age for semi-automatic rifles from 18 to 21, even though a recent 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ruling struck down a similar California Law
  • Ban the import, sale, manufacture, transfer, or possession of “high capacity” magazines
  • Regulate the storage of firearms and create penalties for violators
  • Ban “bump stocks” & “ghost guns”
  • Ban “straw purchases” (apparently, the House is unaware that this is already illegal!)

House Democrats are playing for keeps this time.  They used their usual tactics of calling gun control a “child safety act,” and they brought victims of gun crime to the House chamber to put pressure on lawmakers.  The procedural vote to start debate on the gun control legislation, however, was a new low for the House of Reprehensibles.  In order to get Republicans on the record as racists, Democrats tacked on a resolution condemning the “Great Replacement Theory” that says new world order elites want to replace and marginalize white Americans with other races.  The Democrats dared the G.O.P. to oppose it, and they did.

The legislation now heads to the U.S. Senate, where it should not be able to pass the 60-vote threshold for a filibuster.  I say should not, because as I write this, Texas RINO Senator John Cornyn is meeting with liberals on compromise gun control measures.  Cornyn even stated during an interview that, “It has to be incremental.”  No John, more gun control isn’t needed!  What’s needed are some conservatives who will stand up and obey their oath of office.

That’s all for now, folks!   Please keep sending in your questions, tips, and article ideas.  And as always – “Let’s Be Careful Out There.”
