Living in a rural area, I have gotten used to Mom and Pop gun shops. I really enjoy the friendly and knowledgeable folks who own them. It’s nice to walk in a shop and have the staff remember who you are. The one major drawback is the lack of inventory or the ability to order specific items. I generally don’t like to go to bigger shops, as I find most treat you like a number, not a customer. A year ago, while looking for a specific item, I stopped in at Coyote Creek Outfitters, LLC in Rochester, New Hampshire.

Coyote Creek Outfitters was founded in 2011. It is a bigger shop that maintains the Mom and Pop atmosphere. I noticed immediately how friendly the staff were and the prompt service I received. The store is well laid out, with a knowledgeable staff that will help you make an informed purchase.

The Creek has an excellent selection of new and used firearms for all budgets. If you cannot find the gun you are looking for, the staff will be glad to order it for you. They also handle FFL transfers from out-of-state shops. They have recently expanded and moved their archery department to a separate building complete with an indoor range and a virtual bowhunting range. That has allowed for a larger selection of firearms and accessories to be brought in for customers to do one-stop shopping at the main shop.

The Creek doesn’t just focus on firearms and archery. They are a full-service outfitter; they have something for everyone. Whenever I’m in the area, I always make time to stop at the Creek. They are located at 22 Farmington Rd, Rochester, NH 03867.

Big thanks to Josh J and all the staff at Coyote Creek!
