Faxon Firearms, based in Cincinnati, has been a force in the production of superior quality gun barrels for AR-15 and AR-10 type weapons in multiple calibers, including the new 8.6 Blackout.  It was only a matter of time before Faxon started building complete firearms!  The FX-19 pistol line from Faxon Firearms is built from the ground up with quality and precision.  The FX-19 line comes in two versions: the Patriot for concealed carry and the Hellfire that we’re reviewing today.  Faxon offers an extensive list of custom features in and out of the box package.  The FX-19 pistol line has completed a 15,000 round durability test successfully, as outlined in US ARMY TOP 3-2-045, along with the NATO standard drop test.

THE FRAME

Starting with a custom Polymer 80/Faxon PF940C Frame with a 1911-Style Grip Angle, the frame features include Custom Polished Front & Rear Slide Rails, Double Undercut Trigger Guard, Extended Magazine Release, Overwatch Precision Trigger, and Enhanced, Low-Profile Magwell.

THE BARREL & SLIDE

The Faxon Match Series G19 1/2×28 Threaded Barrel is Machined in-house (as are all Faxon Barrels) from 17-4 Stainless Steel.  The slide features enhanced front, rear, and top serrations, and it’s cut for Trijicon RMR or Holosun 507C optics.  There are machined posts in optic cuts for optic locating and recoil absorption.  It’s equipped with Suppressor-Height Night Sights and finished in Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC).
