The New CMMG Dissent AR-15 pistol is out for 2022 and you are gonna love it! Missouri based CMMG® was established in 2002, when John, Jeff, Gretchen, and Stephanie Overstreet made the decision to create a quality AR rifle that can be afforded by everyone. CMMG’s newest addition to their lineup is something special.

CMMG has taken portability to a whole new level with the introduction of the DISSENT – a new line of buffer-less AR15 pistols that utilize the company’s patent-pending Compact Action. The DISSENT is available in 5.56x45mm, .300 BLK, and 5.7x28mm, with each model sporting a 6.5 inch free-floated barrel and complemented with a 5.5 inch M-LOK handguard, making the DISSENT the shortest, most stowable Personal Defense Weapon that CMMG has built to date.

The more I learn about CMMG, the more I like them. Check out their Mission Statement:

The DISSENT is more than just a product. It is a platform to voice our peaceful opposition to the censorship and infringements that affect law abiding gunowners across America.

The DISSENT is peaceful opposition to big tech unjustly silencing 2A advocates across their platforms, erasing their 1st Amendment rights and the idea of democracy in the process.

The DISSENT is peaceful opposition to the leaders that stand idly by as bureaucratic agencies continuously threaten to criminalize law-abiding firearms owners for exercising their constitutional rights.

Most importantly, The Dissent is a reminder that We the People need to come together and peacefully oppose the ongoing abuses of power.

To help stop the assault on our liberties, CMMG asks that you join us in non-violent and legal opposition by acting now.

The DISSENT uses a self-contained recoil system that is housed entirely inside the upper receiver, negating the need for the standard AR buffer assembly. The upper receiver uses a Forward Non-Reciprocating side charger instead of the usual charging handle. A 1913 Picatinny rail end plate allows for a pistol brace or sling. TriggerTech’s AR-D 2 stage trigger was developed in collaboration with CMMG to be fully optimized for use with DISSENT firearms and upper receiver groups. With a 4 pound pull, the AR-D trigger showcases a light, repeatable break. The 6.5 Inch barrel is manufactured from 4140 steel with a 1:7 twist and ½ x 28 threaded.
