The new for 2022 Canik Rival SFx pistol is designed for the competitive shooter to be able to compete without breaking the bank.  Canik engineers set out to build a high-end competition gun at a low end price.  It appears they succeeded! The Rival standard model is grey with Cerakoted gold accents, and the SFx Dark Side comes in all black.

Canik actually started as an aerospace/defense manufacturer partnering with Boeing, Lockheed, and others.  The technology developed for the defense industry led to the development of a line of firearms.  In 2012 Canik partnered with Century Arms in Delray Beach, FL to bring Canik firearms from Turkey to the American market.

FRAME

The frame has a long list of standard features: a modular setup with ambidextrous slide releases, reversible magazine releases shipped with three different extended sizes, a lightened 90° diamond cut aluminum flat cut trigger, an ergonomically designed beavertail, aggressive grip texturing, external magazine well, picatinny rail, and an interchangeable backstrap that ships with three different size backstraps!

SLIDE

With its adjustable fiber optic sights and deep serrations and porting, the slide of the Dark Side looks quite aggressive!  The serrations give the shooter more confidence under pressure during slide manipulation.  Of course, its optics ready, and it ships with five different optics plates so you can add your favorite red dot quickly.
