This act of deception by Kamala Harris is extremely dangerous.
She is attempting to hide her radical gun control agenda.
But now her agenda has become public and people are furious.
Kamala Harris has a very long and sordid history of supporting extreme gun control, but now that she is the Democrat nominee for president she is trying to walk that back, at least publicly.
However, she has not given up on her gun control plans, and she is dropping signals to her supporters than once she takes office she will act to create new gun laws.
That’s why so many people felt deceived when Harris said at the debate that she wasn’t planning to take anyone’s guns away, because her and Tim Walz were supposedly gun owners.
This flew in the face of her past support of mandatory gun buybacks.
And just a few days after the debate, Harris made a social media post calling for a so-called “assault weapons” ban.
While many of these bans grandfather in people who already own “assault weapons,” the ultimate goal is to rid society of them.
According to The Truth About Guns, “A whole three and a half days after the debate – after she told President Trump to ‘quit lying’ about her desire to take away guns from the little people, she posted this on her X account.”
The article then links to a tweet that Harris sent out where she says, “Congress must renew the assault weapons ban.”
If she’s calling on Congress to renew the assault weapons ban, then she is pushing for more gun control.
Her statements at the debate, which were apparently meant to give the impression that she would not push for new gun control, seemed deceptive at the time and they seem even more deceptive now.
The article continues, “Give it to Kamala Harris. The woman told us in her first of two interviews that her values have not changed. Moreover, she has always supported gun bans and gun confiscation that she euphemistically terms ‘mandatory buybacks.’ Last Tuesday night, she chided President Trump for his ‘continuous lying’ about her desire to take people’s guns away. After all, she claimed, she and Timmy are gun owners.
“For those leaning left who value their right to defend themselves and their right to keep and bear arms, they should vote in their own self-interest.”
It’s clear that Harris will not be friendly to the Second Amendment if she does take office as the 47th president of the United States.
She has a left-wing base to pander to and she knows that the only way to keep them engaged and keep them coming to the polls is to give them what they want on hot-button issues.
Guns is one of the issues that they care about the most, and she wants to use it to her political benefit, in this election and beyond.
That’s why gun owners need to be very aware of what Kamala Harris is planning to do to the Second Amendment if she is elected.
