The hits against the Second Amendment just keep coming.
Now there is yet another new one from Joe Biden that has just been rolled out.
And the details of this attack on gun owners will make your jaw drop.
Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have made a strategic calculation to focus on hot-button culture war issues during their administration.
This means that they have given an unusual amount of attention to things like guns and abortion in an attempt to gin up their rabidly left-wing base.
They are hoping this leads to a spike in Democrat turnout which allows them to defeat Republicans across the country.
That’s why the attacks on the Second Amendment are accelerating as the election draws closer. Biden and Harris want their anti-gun supporters to be excited.
A new set of gun control measures have been rolled out by Joe Biden and his administration via executive order and they look to be quite bad.
It is yet another blow to the Second Amendment in an administration that has put a target on the backs of gun owners and the gun industry from day one.
According to Politico, “During a White House event Thursday, Biden is expected to sign an executive order designed to address the trauma inflicted on children by active shooter drills in schools as well as tackle the threat of machine gun conversion devices, which are small devices that can be made with a 3D printer and turn a handgun into a fully automatic weapon. The actions are timed to this week’s one-year anniversary of Biden’s creation of the first-ever office of gun violence prevention — which he launched, in part, to identify additional ways to tackle gun violence from the executive branch without Congress.”
Of course no one would take issue with addressing children’s trauma, but it’s the second part that should have gun owners worried.
The fact that the Biden administration has zeroed in on 3D-printed guns shows how badly they want to track guns and gun owners.
After all, the only “problem” with these devices is that they cannot be tracked.
The article continues, “The joint Biden-Harris appearance, one of a handful since the president turned his reelection campaign over to her in July, will highlight Harris’ role overseeing the White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention. It also provides an opportunity for her to lean into her leadership on an issue in her official capacity as vice president while giving her fresh policies to tout on the campaign trail.”
That is the money quote right there. The Biden-Harris administration believes that gun control is a winning issue for them, as it gets their rabid base very worked up.
They are not trying to win over swing voters in this campaign, but merely drive up turnout among the most left-wing segments of the population by appealing to them with culture war issues.
Gun control is chief among those issues, and they are hoping this attack on the Second Amendment will propel them to victory.
