ABOUT RUGER
Sturm, Ruger & Company was founded by William B. Ruger and Alexander McCormick Sturm in 1949 in a small, rented machine shop in Southport, Connecticut.
When the duo designed their first semi-auto pistol, Ruger decided to incorporate the looks of the German Luger and the Colt Woodsman into their first commercially produced .22 caliber pistol, the Ruger Standard. The Standard became so successful that it launched the entire company.
THE RECEIVER
The upper portion of the receiver and one-piece bolt are precision CNC-machined from pre-hardened 4140 chrome-moly steel. The lower magazine well halves are precision machined from 7075-T6 aluminum and are Type III hard-coat anodized.
The Ruger Marksman Adjustable trigger is externally adjustable, with a trigger pull range of 2.25 to 5 pounds, and it features an AR-style grip and 45° ambidextrous safety selector.
THE BOLT & BARREL
The three-lug bolt features a 70° throw, dual cocking cams, oversized bolt handle and is nitrided for corrosion resistance, smooth operation, and durability.
The 26-inch cold hammer-forged, chrome-moly steel heavy-contour (.875″ at the muzzle) barrel features 5R rifling and a Ruger Precision Rifle magnum muzzle brake with a tunable compensator to reduce recoil and muzzle rise.
THE FURNITURE
The rifle is fitted with a Ruger Precision MSR stock that features a bottom Picatinny rail and a soft rubber buttpad. The folding stock accepts any AR-style stock and is adjustable for the length of pull and comb height.
The handguard is an 18″ aluminum free-floating design and is black hard-coat anodized. It features Magpul M-LOK slots on all four sides for mounting M-LOK compatible accessories.
