New for 2022, and to the Edge lineup, is Fabrique National’s 509 CC Edge that FN claims is the new standard in compensated pistols. Let’s take a look!

THE FRAME

The heart of the CC Edge is the fire control group. The flat-faced trigger has a smooth take up and clean break. Combined with FN’s high endurance striker, the fire control group gives you a 5.6 pound pull.

The stippled frame and two different backstraps enhance your grip. The CC Edge comes with an ambidextrous slide stop and oversized, knurled magazine release that is reversible.

THE SLIDE & BARREL

The slide comes equipped with a green fiber optic front and blacked-out rear sights that will co-witness with more than 10 different MRD optics. The CC Edge is optics-ready and equipped with FN’s new Low Profile Optics Mounting System. This system allows you to mount your optics without the need of a gunsmith.

The slide features lightening-cuts that speed follow up shots

The barrel is hammer-forged, target-crowned and features a v-style dual port compensator, which keeps muzzle blast out of the shooter’s point of aim and reduces muzzle flip by 25%. The compensator is a quick detach, auto indexing design that uses locking lugs machined into the barrel for perfect alignment and fast, easy takedown. It is finished in titanium nitride and the chamber and ramp are polished for reliable feeding.
