New for 2022 is Beretta’s first ever hunting rifle – the BRX1. Beretta enters the hunting rifle market with the revolutionary BRX1 bolt action rifle. The BRX1 offers a plethora of features not seen before on a single weapon. Beretta used virtually all the accumulated engineering experience that is applied in their civilian and military weapons and put it into the BRX1. The BRX1 guarantees maximum speed, precision, safety, and ease of use.

The BRX1 can be quickly converted to three different calibers (300 WinMag, .308 Winchester, and 30.06 Springfield) by changing the barrel, which is quick and requires no special tools. The barrels are housed in the grip by means of a “V” cradle and locked by two screws and a steel dowel, to allow easy replacement without risk of losing the accuracy or calibration of the optics.

THE FEATURES

The stock features an Extralight recoil pad, making length of pull adjustable with Beretta standard spacers. The bolt handle knob is spherical and placed close to the trigger for faster reloading. A top mounted, three position, manual safety and 3 trigger weight options (.9-, 1.2-, and 1.5-kilogram) are offered. The bolt lever and ejection system are reversible, without tools for you left-handed shooters.

The barrel and chamber are both cold hammer forged from one piece of premium steel. The special bedding geometry ensures that the barrel maintains correct position, resulting in at least a 3 shot group SUB MOA guaranteed by the factory. Barrels are threaded and come equipped with a thread protector. Barrels without a front sight are equipped with a picatinny rail.

The linear reloading system shortens load time. The bolt uses a military tried and tested locking system, which uses a rotating bolt head with 8 locking lugs (16 for Magnum calibers) that passed NATO testing – normally only performed on Beretta’s military weapons.

THE VERDICT

The BRX1 appears to have all the features needed to solve your problems. Reversible bolt handle for left-handed shooters, adjustable trigger pull, interchangeable calibers, etc. I like what I’m seeing in the BRX1. Get over to your Beretta dealer and see if it fits your needs.
