THE 411
The Excel X-Series pistols are CNC machined from 7075-T6 billet aluminum, featuring AR pattern styling. The unique design provides a full-length picatinny rail for mounting flip up iron sights, or a Micro Red Dot, or both! The hand guard is drilled and tapped to add your choice of accessory rails for mounting lights & lasers. The 4-inch barrel is threaded for mounting a suppressor and comes with a thread protector. The X-5.7P featured here is chambered for the FN 5.7×28 round and uses Fabrique National FiveseveN 17 and 30 round magazines. There is also a 9mm version available that uses Glock magazines. The rear of the receiver is threaded and ready to accept a brace.

THE VERDICT
A solid pistol manufactured by a company with vast knowledge of manufacturing processes. The X-5 series looks heavy duty bare bones industrial, but fun. A great gun for the range, plinking, or with its 5.7×28 round, home defense. Everyone should have at least one firearm chambered for the 5.7×28 round. Perhaps this is the one for you.
