THE LIMITED SERIES NOVEMBER 2023 – DD5V3 “BASECAMP”
The Basecamp takes the DD5V3 to another level. Daniel Defense added a Geissele trigger, an Eotech Vudu 1-10 VDU1-100FFSR5 Scope, and an adjustable gas system that allows for adjustment, whether shooting suppressed or unsuppressed, and transformed the Basecamp into one serious hunting rifle.
THE RECEIVER
The lower receiver features an enhanced and flared magazine well. It’s been CNC machined of 7075-T6 aluminum and Type III hard coat anodized. The upper receiver has been CNC machined of 7075-T6 aluminum and Type III hard coat anodized.
THE BARREL
Daniel Defense uses proprietary steel for all its barrels, and they are cold hammer forged. The Basecamp barrel is 16″ inches with a 1:10” twist, has an S2W (Strength to Weight) profile, and has been chrome-lined and Mil-Spec heavy phosphate coated. Daniel Defense finished it with a suppressor-ready Dead Air KeyMo muzzle brake attached to the end.
THE FURNITURE
The Basecamp features a custom B5 precision stock finished in olive drab, flat dark earth, and black. A B5 type 22 pistol grip in olive drab, with a grip plug to let you store items securely, finished in flat dark earth, and a Daniel Defense DD5 15-inch aluminum handguard.
THE OPTICS
The Basecamp is fitted with an Eotech Vudu 1-10 VDU1-100FFSR5 Scope.
