DANIEL DEFENSE

Daniel Defense is a family-owned and privately held firearms manufacturer in Black Creek, Georgia. Founded in 2000 by President/CEO Marty Daniel, the company started from Marty’s vision to create custom rifle accessories for his personal M-16 rifle.

An avid sportsman and supporter of the 2nd Amendment, Marty Daniel committed himself to produce a product with quality and precision. Just 18 years later, Marty Daniel’s concept has evolved into one of the most recognizable brands in the firearms world, manufacturing the world’s finest AR-15 rifles, rail systems, and accessories for civilian, law enforcement, and military customers. Today with a combined 300,000 sq. feet of manufacturing space, Daniel Defense has maintained a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

DD5 V4

The DD5 V4 is chambered in either 6.5 Creedmoor or 7.62x51mm NATO, providing users of the AR-10 semi-automatic platform with even greater long-range precision shooting options. The 6.5 Creedmoor caliber uses superior ballistic coefficients to offer flatter trajectories and reduced wind drift at levels usually reserved for much heavier recoiling long-action calibers. These gains in ballistic efficiency help the modern shooter stretch the effective range out to 1,000 meters or more. This rifle includes an adjustable gas block that allows for a consistent feel, whether shooting suppressed or unsuppressed. The bolt carrier group reduces overall recoil impulse and is superfinished, and the DLC-coated bolt carrier group makes it easy to clean and operate in all conditions.

THE RECEIVERS & FURNITURE

The lower receiver features an enhanced flared magazine well and rear receiver QD swivel attachment point. CNC machined of 7075-T6 aluminum and is Type III hard coat anodized.

The upper receiver is CNC machined of 7075-T6 aluminum and is Type III hard coat anodized.

The gas system features a user-adjustable gas block that is CNC Machined of 4140 hardened steel and treated with a Mil-Spec heavy phosphate coating.

The trigger is a Daniel Defense Mil-Spec. The rifle has a GRIP-N-RIP independently ambidextrous charging handle with anti-gas features for a better shooting experience.

The Daniel Defense buttstock is a glass-filled polymer with soft touch overmolding and a seven-position 7075-T6 aluminum receiver extension.

The Daniel Defense pistol grip is a glass-filled polymer with soft touch overmolding.

The handguard is a Daniel Defense DD5 Rail 15.0, CNC Machined of 6061-T6 aluminum, M-LOK attachment, and Type III hard coat anodized.

THE BARREL & BOLT

The barrel is constructed from DD proprietary steel, cold hammer forged, 1:8″ (6.5 Creedmoor), 1:10″ (7.62), 18″ S2W profile, rifle length, chrome lined, and Mil-Spec heavy phosphate coated for a lifetime of accuracy and durability.

The Bolt is designed with enhanced extractor geometry and dual ejectors for reliable cycling.

The rifle uses the Daniel Defense Superior Suppression Device, 17-4 PH stainless steel, and salt bath nitride finished.
