On Wednesday July13th, Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was heckled by comedian Alex Stein on the steps to the Capitol. (Some of you might remember Stein as the man who heckled Texas RINO Dan Crenshaw at a Texas GOP meeting, calling Crenshaw “Eyepatch McCain.”) Video of the AOC incident shows that AOC exited her vehicle and approached the capitol building steps when Stein began his commentary on her derriere. Stein shouted “AOC, my favorite big booty Latina!” AOC appeared to go after Stein, but one of her aides held her back. AOC then flashed a peace sign and asked Stein, “Why don’t you take a selfie?” as she continued on her way. That should be the end of story, right? Not a chance.
AOC later stated that when she walked over to Stein as he heckled her, she intended to “deck him” because “if no one will protect us, then I’ll do it myself. But I needed to catch a vote more than a case today.” She also complained that Stein did all this in front of a capitol officer who did nothing. She failed to note that the reason he did nothing is because no crime was committed!
While some might find Stein’s commentary offensive, it’s not criminal. He’s just a citizen exercising his first amendment right to free speech. Even though Stein’s comments were not threatening, the Capitol Police Department questioned him and ran his information via NCIC check! Here’s a statement from the Capitol Police Department:
“Last night a man outside the US Capitol Building recorded a video of himself making crude comments to a Member of Congress,” the department said. “The comments, although inappropriate, are not criminal.”
“In the video, the man never threatened or touched the Congresswoman. Out of an abundance of caution, our officers stopped the man and ran his information, which did not show any warrants.”
Why would they do that, you ask? Because AOC went whining to House democrat leadership who then goaded the Capitol Police into questioning Stein! Liberals don’t like the police; they want to defund the police; but what they really mean is that they want to defund Your police! They will always have protection for themselves, paid for by taxpayers, while they attempt to take away Your guns!
