Things are about to heat up for Donald Trump.

Congress exposed a gun control sneak attack.

And now they have left Donald Trump with a very big decision to make.

One of the key tests in the early part of Donald Trump’s second term is about to hit as he decides what to do on the gun issue.

Rep. Ronny Jackson, one of Trump’s top supporters in Congress, has exposed a sneak attack by anti-gun Democrat politicians and taken quick action to stop it through new legislation.

Jackson is surely hoping that Trump is going to sign on to his legislation and promote it, but so far he has not, and it remains to be seen whether he ultimately will.

Everyone knows Trump’s views on immigration, foreign policy, trade, and DEI, and the actions he has taken so far on those things have not been a surprise to anyone.

However, very little is known about his views on guns, even to this day, and it is one of the great mysteries of his upcoming term in office.

Whether or not he gets behind Rep. Jackson’s bill is going to tell a lot about his approach to guns during this term.

According to The Truth About Guns, “We’ve chronicled over the past few years how anti-gun politicians in some liberal states have attempted—sometimes successfully—to bolster their state budget on the backs of lawful gun and ammunition purchasers. In fact, California now levies an 11% excise tax on guns and ammunition, and  Colorado residents must pay an extra 6.5% tax on guns, ammo and accessories.”

“Now, a Texas Congressman is attempting to put an end to the trend of punishing gun owners for exercising a constitutional right. On February 4, U.S. Rep. Ronny Jackson, R-Texas, introduced the ‘No User Fee For Gun Owners Act,’ which would prohibit any state or local government from requiring insurance, taxes, user fees or similar burdensome charges as a condition for the continued ownership of firearms, pistols or revolvers.”

Rep. Jackson’s bill is the only way to stop these states from circumventing the Second Amendment.

They are trying to make gun ownership more difficult to afford for the vast majority of residents of their state.

The article continues, “According to Jackson, based on the results of last November’s election, when Republicans held the majority in the House and recaptured the Senate and presidency, now is the time for such a measure.”

Jackson is making it clear that he’s not satisfied with the fact that Republicans won the last election if they’re unwilling to capitalize on it by making important moves to end gun control.

This is the chance for President Trump to show the gun community that he cares about their interests and wants to represent them by protecting the Second Amendment.

He can do a lot to preserve the Constitution by getting behind this bill by Rep. Jackson, using his platform to promote it, and trying to push Congress to send it to his desk.
