This gun control law is coming off the books.

A massive change is about to take place.

And Democrats are looking on totally helpless as this happens before their very eyes.

Gun owners in New Hampshire are about to get a very nice Christmas present, as their ability to protect themselves in the workplace will soon be legalized.

Workers in the state have been prevented from carrying guns at work for a long time, but that is about to change throughout the entire state.

And since Republicans will continue to hold power in New Hampshire through at least 2026, there is nothing Democrats can do about it.

New Hampshire is an odd state, as it often votes Democrat at the federal level, but has a very libertarian streak at the state level.

This streak is showing up in the state’s gun policy, which is about to loosen up for people who wish to carry guns to work.

And the gun control lobby in New Hampshire won’t be able to do anything about it, which has to be very frustrating for them and the legislators they have allied themselves with.

According to Bearing Arms, “In New Hampshire, workers are going to have one interesting change that their employers may not particularly care for, but they’ll learn to get over it.

“You see, come the first of the year, carrying guns to work becomes legal.

“In a way, anyhow.”

The reason the article puts that caveat in there is because the change seems to only apply to institutions that receive any sort of government funding.

This doesn’t only mean government agencies themselves, but it does exclude some companies that are 100% private and receive no government subsidies.

The article continues, “So, based on this, only those who receive taxpayer funding to any degree are impacted. Now, that includes even people with city or county contracts for goods and services, apparently, but it still leaves a lot of people unaffected.”

“While the new law might not specifically legalize leaving a gun in your car, it does make it impossible for them to do anything to make sure you left your firearm at home. They can’t make you say you have a gun in your car and they can’t make you unlock the car so they can look for themselves.”

The new law might not be perfect, but it is a clear upgrade from where things were before in New Hampshire, and it will be a welcome reprieve for many Granite State gun owners who would like to have a means of self-defense while at work.

Of course, hopefully the vast majority of them will never have to use a gun for self-defense while working, but these things can be impossible to predict and it’s better to be safe.

This will reinforce New Hampshire as the most friendly state in New England to gun owners, but will come as unwelcome news for anti-gun lobbyists, activists, and legislators in the state who would have preferred this not to happen.
