This is one of the most disgusting things Adam Schiff has ever done.
Not only does he hate guns, but he is now targeting U.S. veterans.
He took part in the most horrific attack on the rights of American veterans in recent memory.
If any group of Americans deserves to be left alone and have their rights protected, it is the veterans who fought for this country overseas.
They endangered their lives to keep America safe and free, and the government should leave them alone and let them live in peace.
But the left-wing hatred of guns knows no bounds, and the fact that many veterans own guns is infuriating to politicians like Adam Schiff.
That’s why Schiff, along with nearly 200 of his Democrat colleagues, took part in a dramatic attack on the gun rights of veterans.
Eli Crane, a Republican congressman from Arizona, introduced a very simple amendment that would have prevented the VA from ratting out veterans to take away their guns.
But Schiff and nearly all of his Democrat colleagues voted against that amendment. Thankfully it passed anyway with almost exclusively Republican votes.
According to My Hometown Today, “The majority of U.S. House Democrats voted to take the Second Amendment rights away from certain veterans who served in the U.S. Armed Services.
“They did so when they overwhelmingly rejected an amendment filed to a U.S. Department of Veteran’s Affairs funding bill, known as the Crane Amendment.”
“The amendment, named after its author, U.S. Rep. Eli Crane, R-Arizona, a former U.S. Navy SEAL, was designed to protect veterans’ Second Amendment rights. It clarifies that any veteran who the VA reported to the NICS ‘was done so incorrectly in violation of their constitutional rights.’”
According to the roll call on the House website, Schiff was among the House members who voted no.
He surely thought this would be a boost to his Senate campaign, as he is currently trying to move up the political ladder.
The article continues, “Democrats overwhelmingly voted against the Crane Amendment with 192 voting against it and only seven voting for it. Thirty-two members didn’t vote on the amendment.
“The amendment passed by a vote of 211-193, preventing the VA from disarming an estimated 20,000 veterans during the next fiscal year.
“Seven Democrats voted in favor of the amendment: Reps. Henry Cuellar (TX), Jared Golden (ME), Vicente Gonzalez (TX), Mary Peltola (AK), Marie Perez (WA), Gabe Vasquez (NM) and Marc Veasey (TX).”
Clearly these seven Democrats, as liberal as they may be, are not so committed to their anti-gun agenda that they want to directly attack veterans.
The same apparently cannot be said for Adam Schiff, or the majority of their other Democrat House colleagues.
Whether or not this amendment passes the full Congress and becomes law remains to be seen. Joe Biden is surely not itching to sign it.
But Adam Schiff and his colleagues revealed something ugly about themselves by refusing to protect the most basic rights of people who risked their lives for America.
