A Texas man was shot in the arm after he allegedly attacked his ex-girlfriend and tried to involve her two-year-old in the altercation.

KSA-TV reports a San Antonio-area man went over to his ex-girlfriend’s house, and the two argues over property. The man then “…reportedly grabbed his ex-girlfriend by the neck and threw her down to the ground, police said. The man also went and allegedly grabbed her 2-year-old child by the neck, and that’s when his ex-girlfriend reached into her purse, grabbed a gun and shot him once in the arm…”

Police concluded the woman acted in self-defense, and the man will likely be charged. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
