The U.S. House of Representatives is set to vote on two critical gun control bills today, with Nancy Pelosi leading the charge to take away your Second Amendment rights.

H.R. 8, the “The Bipartisan Background Checks Act of 2019,” would essentially create a national gun registration system. The National Association for Gun Rights (NAGR) is calling on supporters to call Pelosi’s office and object to this bill, which the organization notes will:

*** OUTRIGHT BAN nearly all private firearms sales — requiring every gun purchase to be pre-approved by the federal government at YOUR expense.

*** FORCE nearly all firearm purchases to be registered through the Brady-NICS registration system.

*** CRIMINALIZE law-abiding Americans who want to sell firearms to close friends and neighbors unless Big Brother approves via their registration schemes.

H.R. 1446, is also being voted on today. The so-called “Enhanced Background Checks Act of 2021” “increases the amount of time, from 3 business days to a minimum of 10 business days, that a federal firearms licensee must wait to receive a completed background check prior to transferring a firearm to an unlicensed person,” according to the bill’s language.

In other words, NAGR reports, this law would “place folks on an indefinite NICS waiting list while meddling bureaucrats take their sweet time processing background checks.”

Both proposed laws are unconstitutional and dangerous. GPM will have breaking news available concerning these bills as it becomes available.
