Donald Trump’s return to the White House has had many big consequences.

And this is a very significant one for the gun industry.

Gun manufacturers got a massive gift after Trump took office.

Often times, when a Democrat wins the presidential election, gun sales go up in the aftermath as gun owners are worried about what new laws might come down the pike.

That is likely not the case now, as Trump has shown no indication of wanting to do a big gun-grab, but nonetheless, gun sales have spiked ever since he took office.

People can speculate about what the reason is for this, and it is not entirely clear, but it clearly was tied to him taking office, and it has benefitted gun manufacturers and local gun stores.

Some of them are even coming out and talking to the press about what has happened to their sales ever since Trump returned to the White House for his second term.

It has been a big boom for the gun industry, and it clearly seems to have something to do with the change in administrations and Trump’s return.

According to KOTA TV in South Dakota, “A local gun suppressor company says it has had a boom of business since President Trump took office. The team at Lane Silencers and Guns has been working hard to keep with a recent spike in demand for their products.”

“‘Our production hasn’t actually been able to keep up, so we’re actually running behind in production for the first time in quite a while,’ owner Cory Johnston said.”

“Johnston says his company typically sells between 1,200 and 1,400 silencers annually, however, last year his company sold nearly 1,700.”

Other reports from different parts of the country show similar trends, but with guns and not just accessories.

Gun stores are doing very well at the moment, and sales have picked up ever since the new administration took over.

The article continues, “Johnston says the company has already sold about 800 suppressors this year. However, he expects his business to slow down.”

“Johnston says every four years his company gets a boom with political change, and he expects this year to end in historically average sales numbers. He credits the most recent boom to consumer confidence in the economy.”

Johnston’s point about the economy is probably the most plausible guess as to why this is happening, as it probably doesn’t have to do with fear about Trump taking away people’s guns.

Perhaps people are confident that Trump is going to get the economy on the right track, and they are more willing to spend money on their hobbies, such as purchasing new firearms.

Trump has pitched himself as the president who is going to be best for the economy, and this message apparently has caught steam with people who want to buy guns.

This has been great news for the gun industry, which is finally having a good stretch after years of relentless political attacks from the previous administration.
