Anyone who buys a gun may soon come under the watchful eye of Big Brother.

In fact, this tracking scheme has already begun.

And this could change the lives of millions of gun owners nationwide.

As data collection has become easier for corporations and the government, many people have seen an opportunity to use this data to push their ideological agenda.

Since most corporations and government agencies lean hard to the left, the agenda that is going to be pushed through these intrusive tactics is almost certainly going to be a progressive one.

Now credit card companies are getting in on the act. They know that nearly every adult has a credit card and relies on that card for their day-to-day purchases.

This gives the company tremendous leverage over their customers, since if they switched off the card at any time, the customer wouldn’t be able to buy basic necessities like food.

It hasn’t gotten to that point yet, but the credit card companies are currently looking to start tracking gun purchases.

And that could lead down a very dark and dangerous rabbit hole once people realize how powerful that data is.

According to Bearing Arms, “When credit card companies started talking about using tracking codes to keep up with customers’ purchases at gun stores, a lot of people were less than thrilled.

“Yes, that includes us.

“A number of states started looking at banning the practice entirely while others welcomed it.

“But the companies seemingly backed off on it. They apparently knew they’d kicked over a hornet’s nest and wanted no part of it.

“Except, it seems they’re still going through with it, just on a limited scale.”

In other words, these credit card companies tricked the public into thinking they had called off this effort to dig for data on gun owners and gun purchases.

But in reality, they were still going through with it, just in a more secret way, hoping that no one would catch them.

According to a CBS News article that Bearing Arms links to, “Major credit card companies are moving to make a merchant code available for firearm and ammunition retailers in order to comply with a new California law that will allow banks to potentially track suspicious gun purchases and report them to law enforcement, CBS News has learned.”

“Gun control activists hope the code, approved by an international organization in 2022, can be used as a tool to help identify suspect purchases and, consequently, stop gun crime, including mass shootings. Proponents say a code for firearms merchants would allow banks and credit unions to alert law enforcement of potentially suspicious purchasing patterns in the same way they already flag other types of transactions, such as those that suggest identity theft or terrorist financing.”

In other words, gun control activists are now calling the shots at our nation’s biggest credit card companies.

These companies are now tracking gun owners at their behest. And that opens up a world of danger for the Second Amendment.
