Trailblazer Firearms has not one, but two exciting, innovative firearms that Gunpowder readers need to know about!

THE TRAILBLAZER LIFECARD

The first is the LifeCard. In 2010, after reading an article about constructing pocket sized survival/utility kits, they came up with the idea of designing a gun that could fit in one of those popular mint candy tins. After the smoke cleared, the LifeCard was born. The LifeCard is a folding, single shot pistol chambered in .22LR or .22WMR. It’s only a half-an-inch thick, 3.375 inches long.

To operate, slide the toggle on the handle portion of the pistol to unfold it. Then slide the toggle on the top portion to release the barrel. Load a round and pull the striker to the rear. You’re ready to go. The LifeCard is very concealabl,e and a hole through the handle portion lets you carry it with a lanyard. This is definitely a niche gun, but very cool indeed.

THE TRAILBLAZER PIVOT

The second firearm from Trailblazer is the Pivot. The Pivot is an ultra compact folding rifle that’s designed to use Glock double stack 9mm magazines. Its unique folding system allows the Pivot to collapse in a unique way, maximizing portability when folded and function when unfolded. The stock design also acts as a safety system, as the Pivot will not fire when folded, and it will not fold if a magazine is inserted. It has a lot of great features, like a telescoping stock, picatinny rail for optics, as well as M-LOK slots, and space for an extra magazine in its stock. It comes with a 16-inch barrel threaded ½ X 28 TPI. The Pivot will start shipping in the second quarter of 2022.
