Donald Trump is in the crosshairs of the gun control lobby.

They are worried about what he might do to their cause.

And one anti-gun website just went after Trump hard for his views on guns.

The Trace is a “news” website that is run by Everytown for Gun Safety, the Michael Bloomberg gun control group, and frequently posts anti-gun articles and stories.

They continued in that vein with a piece about Donald Trump’s moves on guns, and warning about what he might do next.

Trump has not focused heavily on the gun issue in the first few months of his administration, as he has had other battles to fight and fires to put out elsewhere in the government.

Because of that, it has not been clear to people exactly what he plans to do about guns during his second term in office.

But the gun control lobby is making clear through The Trace that they remain quite worried about it.

Trump is a wild card, and he remains as unpredictable as ever, and gun control lobbyists seem concerned that he could do serious harm to their movement.

Here’s what The Trace had to say: “President Donald Trump issued an executive order on February 7 in an apparent step toward fulfilling his campaign promises to roll back four years of gun reforms under his predecessor.

“On the chopping block are several high-profile attempts by former President Joe Biden to reduce gun violence, including regulations on ghost guns, expanded background checks on gun sales, and tougher regulatory oversight of lawbreaking gun dealers.”

The language they use about “gun violence” and “gun reforms” gives away which side they are on when it comes to the gun issue.

They seem to think that their policies are on the “chopping block” and could be done away with by Trump.

The article continues, “The executive order directs Attorney General Pam Bondi to conduct a review within 30 days ‘to assess any ongoing infringements of the Second Amendment rights of our citizens.’ After that, Bondi is expected to present a plan to undo any policies the administration believes violate gun rights.”

“Gun reform advocates, who have been bracing for Trump to turn his eye toward gun issues since his inauguration, immediately criticized the executive order. Mark Collins, the national policy director for the gun reform group Brady, said that if the attorney general’s review is objective, her findings would support the policies’ constitutionality.”

Bondi also has a bit of a mixed record on guns from her time in Florida, but that is not stopping gun control lobbyists from sounding the alarm bells about her.

They are apparently very worried about this review she is about to conduct and what might come after it.

Gun owners, meanwhile, are on the edge of their seats waiting to see what shoe drops next.

Donald Trump might be on the verge of doing something big on the gun issue, but everyone will have to wait and see what actually takes place.
