This was the last thing Kamala Harris was hoping would happen.

A shocking secret about gun control was uncovered by a top Republican official.

And he ignited a firestorm by releasing it to the public.

Gun control has never been an effective way of keeping violence in check, as evidenced by the many states that have strict gun control.

That’s why anti-gun activists keep pushing the ball further and further towards a total ban on guns, because everything short of that keeps failing miserably.

Kamala Harris is hoping the American people don’t figure that out, because gun control is a big part of her campaign, and she doesn’t want it getting out there that her plans are likely to fail.

She will be furious to find out that Sen. John Kennedy, a Republican from Louisiana, exposed the whole problem with gun control in a rant that is going viral on the Internet.

Kennedy said what no Democrat will ever admit about gun control, and in doing so he blew a huge hole in their whole scheme to chip away at the Second Amendment.

According to Bearing Arms, “Every time some mass murder happens, someone will invariably call for restricting the rights of those who had nothing to do with what happened. The argument, at least as presented, is that if we had more gun control then the killers couldn’t have gotten the kind of guns they used and if they couldn’t have gotten those, then the murders wouldn’t have happened.”

“And a lot of Republican lawmakers seem hesitant to punch back at these calls out of concern for seeming callous or insensitive.

“Sen. John Kennedy of Louisiana, however, summed it up perfectly on Newsmax recently, though.”

Kennedy did not hold back on the problems with the gun control agenda.

He exposed precisely why gun control laws will never work to stop violence in the way the anti-gun activists think it will.

Here is what he had to say: “It’s horrible. We’ve had a number of mass shootings this year. I don’t think the answer is more laws. We’ve got hundreds, maybe thousands of gun control laws on the books. I don’t think we need more gun control. What we need, obviously, in my opinion, is more idiot control.”

“I don’t know how to control people who are sick or just evil in a free country as big as the United States of America, over 300 million people. You can just do the best you can.”

Kennedy is correct that the United States is a huge country and there is no way to micromanage everything that happens from coast to coast.

Whenever a shooting happens, it’s easy to lose perspective and think that these things are happening everywhere.

In fact, people’s odds of being victimized by a school shooting are infinitesimal, despite how the media makes it look.

No gun control will stop all of these incidents from happening. Thankfully, however, the overwhelming majority of schools will never have to deal with a situation like this.
