Joe Biden has made an unprecedented move to ignore the courts.
He was ordered to stop his illegal gun grab immediately.
But instead, he doubled down and threw the United States into a constitutional crisis.
Since its founding, the United States has relied on a system of checks and balances to preserve liberty for its people.
The president has power over the executive branch, but if the judicial system tells him he cannot enforce a law, he is expected to obey their ruling.
Nearly every president, even the worst of them, has held to this tradition and respected the power of the courts system.
But Joe Biden is so committed to taking away the gun rights of American citizens, that he has made a stunning move to ignore the courts.
And not only that, but he has used a recent court ruling as an excuse to build a list of gun owners so that he can harass them.
The National Association for Gun Rights filed a lawsuit to stop Biden’s Forced Reset Trigger ban and protect the rights of gun owners in the state of Texas and nationwide.
According to a release from NAGR, “We currently have a preliminary injunction blocking the ATF from enforcing their Forced Reset Trigger ban against members of the National Association for Gun Rights and Texas Gun Rights.
“Specifically, the ATF is not allowed to send our members notice letters or request the ‘voluntary surrender’ of FRTs, or in any way interfere with our members’ lawful possession of FRTs.
“Despite that, the ATF has done this not once, but twice since we have received our injunction against them.”
This move by the Biden administration is shockingly illegal. The court specifically ruled that the ATF could not target NAGR members in the state of Texas. And yet they still are.
It gets even worse. NAGR tried calling the ATF to find out what was going on, and the ATF used it as an excuse to try to get a list of their members for the purpose of harassment.
The release goes on to say, “When our lawyer called the DOJ attorney representing the ATF, he said ‘Not our fault, we don’t know who your members are. Give us a list and we’ll tell the ATF not to bother them.’”
Fortunately, NAGR has vowed to fight back against this, saying, “We will not be giving the ATF a list of our members – ever, under any circumstances.”
This was an audacious move by the Biden administration, first ignoring a court ruling by a federal judge, and then trying to blackmail NAGR into handing over a list of members in order to build their national gun registry.
If Biden is allowed to simply ignore the courts, then the entire constitutional system that we live under could collapse as politicians from both parties start ignoring court rulings they don’t like.
Joe Biden was ordered to put an end to his unconstitutional gun grab, and he is obligated under the law to stop enforcing it now.
