The Daniel Defense Limited series rifle for May 2023 is the V7®SLW – DUNE. Let’s have a look at its features.
THE RECEIVERS
The receivers are fully ambidextrous Mil-Spec with an enhanced flared magazine well and rear receiver QD swivel attachment point. CNC machined from 7075-T6 Aluminum and Type III Hard Coat Anodized.
The Dune features the ALG Defense ALG Combat Trigger (ACT), an enhanced Mil-Spec type AR-15 trigger. The ACT is similar to Mil-Spec units in pull weight, but the polished surfaces and hard-lubing result in a smoother pull with a sharper break.
THE BARREL & GAS SYSTEM
The Dune is equipped with a 14.5-inch cold hammer forged, lightweight, profile barrel that is chrome lined, Mil-Spec heavy phosphate coated, and HP/MPI tested and finished off with a pinned and welded Surefire, 3 pronged, flash hider, making the barrel 16 inches long and NFA-compliant.
The Dune is equipped with a reliable, mid-length, gas system with a pinned, low-profile, gas block CNC machined from 4140 hardened steel and a Mil-Spec heavy phosphate coating.
THE FURNITURE
The Dune features a B5 Systems Bravo Stock with a B5 Systems P23 Grip. The handguard has a 13.5” MFR XL rail with an M-LOK attachment for mounting lights & lasers.
THE OPTICS
Daniel Defense mounted a Trijicon Credo 1-8×28 riflescope with a Reptilia AUS scope mount.
