Anderson Manufacturing of Hebron, Kentucky has been around for over 70 years. For many of those years, they’ve been making receivers and parts for America’s rifle, the AR-15. Anderson wanted to put all its engineering expertise to use and decided to get into the pistol market. Thus, the Kiger 9c was born.

While the Kiger is based on the Glock 19, it has a style of its own. The features on the Kiger 9c are more ergonomic and it has stylistic upgrades from the classic Glock design.

I bet you didn’t know the name Kiger comes from a breed of Mustang. I didn’t.

THE FRAME

The Kiger 9c is a polymer-framed, striker-fired pistol that is compatible with most Glock internals. Anderson built an original frame, with over-molded side rails that enhance the frame’s rigidity. It has a short, crisp, 5.5-pound trigger pull that will get you back on target quickly. The frame has an aggressive grip texturing and extended beavertail. The thumb & forefinger texturing have been mirrored on each side of the frame and the trigger guard is undercut for better handling and ergonomics. The beveled magazine well helps get you reloaded quickly, and a Picatinny rail gives you space for lights & lasers.

THE SLIDE & BARREL

The slide and barrel are manufactured from 416R stainless steel and are DLC (Diamond Like Coating) treated. The barrel is target crowned, and the billet slide has aggressive serrations for better handling.
