In a story first reported in a Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) press release, an elderly woman in Cairo, Georgia used a pistol to defend herself against a gang of home invaders.

At around 12:50 a.m., the woman was awakened by the sound of someone breaking into her home. When she went to investigate, one of the intruders shot her! The woman, who was armed with her own pistol, shot back at the intruders. While there was no blood trail or other evidence at the scene that indicated any of the invaders were hit, the gang took off looking for easier pickings.

Of the seven intruders, two were 17-years-old and will be charged as adults; the other five were all under the age of 16. Charges include Aggravated Assault, Criminal Attempt to Commit Murder, Armed Robbery, Cruelty to an Elderly Person, Burglary, and Home Invasion. Charges of elder abuse normally have enhanced penalties, so I am hoping these two criminals will serve some serious time. Since the juvenile justice system is beyond broken, I do not expect any punishment for the other five.

How many times have liberal politicians and pundits told us peasants from their guarded compounds and armed security to let the criminals take what they want, it’s only property, and they won’t hurt you if you give them what they want? This was an elderly woman living alone, and these criminals shot her! Had she not been armed — the ending likely would have been even more tragic.

Have these same liberals said anything about Krystal Bayron-Nieves? She is the 19-year-old Harlem Burger King employee who was shot and killed by a recidivist lowlife by the name of Winston Glynn. She complied with Glynn and gave him the money from the register, then he killed her anyway!

The case is still ongoing and GBI, Cairo Police, and the Grady County Sheriff’s Office are looking for any information.

That’s all for now folks! Please keep sending in your questions, tips, and article ideas. And as always – “Let’s be careful out there.”
