Things are changing rapidly now that Trump is in office.

Joe Biden was perhaps the biggest gun control president of all time.

But now his gun control agenda is apparently out the window.

There might not have been a single issue that Joe Biden genuinely cared about more than gun control, as he clearly felt strongly that a much stronger ban was needed.

One of the key acts that he made as president was to start the Office of Gun Violence Prevention, an office of the White House that was explicitly geared towards gun control.

This immediately became controversial, as never before had there been a White House office that was explicitly created to target a core freedom guaranteed by the Constitution.

It would be the equivalent of setting up an office called the White House Office of Speech Control.

Now that Trump is in office, however, he is taking a hacksaw to many of the things Biden did during his presidency.

And one of the moves he made was to take down the website Biden had set up for the White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention.

According to The Truth About Guns, “Since former President Joe Biden established the White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention, many gun-rights activists have been hopeful that the next president might immediately do away with the ill-conceived attempt to use tax dollars to promote gun control schemes.

“Only a day into President Donald Trump 2.0, it has been proven that some wishes do come true. On Tuesday, the office was dismantled, according to reports from several sources. The website for the office has been scrubbed from the White House website, leaving visitors to the site to receive a 404 error message.”

There have been questions about how pro-gun Trump actually is, and those questions have not ceased just because he took down a website.

Nonetheless, it is a step in the right direction, and something that gun owners should be happy and encouraged about.

The article continues, “While the White House hasn’t made a statement about the absence of the site, it appears President Trump is quickly following through with promises to scrap ineffective anti-gun schemes put into place by the Biden Administration. And in the case of getting rid of the White House Office of Gun Violence, that’s an especially good thing.”

Trump clearly realizes that Biden went too far by creating this anti-gun office of the White House and he is unilaterally eliminating it.

Even if Trump isn’t as pro-gun as many of his supporters are, he at least has the common sense to realize that.

The question now will be what Trump does with some of the legislation Democrats are trying to pressure him to support, like expanded background checks or red flag laws.

Those things will be the real test about where exactly Trump stands on guns and how much political capital he is willing to spend to say “no” to Democrats when they try to pressure him on those bills.
