Just went we thought California couldn’t get any tougher on guns, FoxLA.com reports:

The City of Carson is moving to drastically restrict the sale and possession of guns within its borders.

A new measure would ban guns within a mile of schools, churches, day care centers, parks, bars and liquor stores — making it nearly impossible for anyone to be in the city limits with a gun.

If the city council passes the resolution, and it’s deemed constitutional, eight "existing licensed and permitted gun dealers" that are currently in the city limits will no longer be allowed to sell their guns. They would have to leave with reasonable notice.

The City Council is set to vote on the new measure later today.
