Biden Wants an Additional $200 Tax on Every AR-15 ALREADY OWNED in the U.S.

Presidential hopeful Joe Biden wants to implement a $200 tax on every AR-15 Americans have already purchased, Breitbart reports.

Biden’s policy would result in an estimated $3.6 billion in additional taxes paid by gun owners who already spent their hard-earned money to purchase guns legally, pay taxes on them, processing fees, and so forth.

“…Biden’s proposed gun control policy includes a provision that could require every AR-15 rifle be registered under the National Firearms Act of 1934,” reports Breitbart. “[The $3.6 billion] figure does not even consider other guns that might be deemed ‘assault weapons’ by Democrats, which could also fall under the same provisions of the National Firearms Act.”

As GPM has reported in the past, Biden is determined to mandate strict gun control at the executive level. In March of last year, the Biden campaign released an 11-page gun-control plan that includes, among other things, much stricter regulations surrounding what the left likes to call “assault-style weapons.”

Owners of such weapons, under the Biden plan, would be given the choice to sell their arms through a voluntary buy-back program or register their weapons with the federal government. The registry would function like the one required for actual assault weapons, (machine guns), and would require so-called “assault-style” gun owners to undergo a background check and register their weapons with the ATF. Biden also proposes a ban on any future manufacturing and selling of “assault-style” weapons.
