President Joe Biden continues to become a caricature of himself.

Biden inadvertently (isn’t everything he does inadvertent?) made an ironic pun while meeting with “anti-violence advocate” Shyism Bryant in New York City and complimenting him on his muscular physique.

‘I’ll tell you what man, this man’s got some guns,’ Biden said during the painful meeting, which was set-up to discuss how to deal with the city’s recent surge in violence.

Biden was referencing Bryant’s biceps, which he also groped (though Bryant was spared a signature Biden head sniff). Someone interjected, “No, no more guns. No more guns,” to which Biden said, “No, no, no — I mean, I mean these guns, these guns. Poor choice of words.”

Sigh. The thing is, this exchange wasn’t the worst part of Biden’s visit to the Big Apple. During his trip, Biden claimed two NYPD police officers were recently killed “with a stolen Glock with a 40-round magazine, and called for a new ban on assault weapons,” reports Politico.

Biden said:

“It’s really a weapon of war. I don’t see any rationale why there should be such a weapon able to be purchased.”

Apropos to nothing, “Biden then told a story about his ‘close friend’ in the NBA,” reports the Daily Mail. “‘I used to have a close friend who was a hell of a national basketball player, and he used to say you got to know how to know.'”

Biden went on to call for firearms manufacturers to be held liable for crimes committed with the products they produce, for a crackdown on so-called “ghost guns,” and to throw more money at the problem, rather than make it easier for New Yorkers to defend themselves.

Another something Biden said that should be shocking but is par for the course with this president was this regarding background checks and the Second Amendment:

“Making sure that people who are not allowed to have a gun, don’t get the gun in the first place. This doesn’t violate anybody’s Second Amendment right. There’s no violation of the Second Amendment right to talk like there’s no amendment that’s absolute.”

New York State has some of the most restrictive gun laws in the nation. Other places – Chicago, Baltimore, LA – with extreme gun control laws on the books are also some of the most violent. Of course it doesn’t occur to the left to reverse these laws. Instead they pass more and more prohibitive laws that do nothing but punish, disarm, and harm law-abiding Americans.
