Beto is back to calling for gun confiscations.
The 2020 Democratic presidential candidate infamously quipped, “Hell, yes, we’re going to take your AR-15, your AK-47,” during the last presidential debate. And last night, Beto doubled-down on his threats, saying:
If someone does not turn an AR-15 or an AK-47, one of these weapons of war, or brings it out in public and brandishes it, in an attempt to intimidate…then that weapon will be taken from them. If they persist, there will be other consequences from law enforcement.
.@BetoORourke says if someone refuses to turn in their AR-15s then "in that case I think there would be a visit by law enforcement to recover that firearm…"https://t.co/i0eRK7w63H pic.twitter.com/QdxsBV7Kyr

“O’Rourke released an ambitious gun control plan last month that would create a national gun registry, and ban assault-style rifles, bump-stocks, silencers, and magazines that hold more than ten rounds,” National Review reports.
AR-15s are among the most popular guns in America. They are not any deadlier than a typical handgun.
