Two armed citizens shot and killed a gunman who opened fire on innocent restaurant patrons in Oklahoma.
"It’s a blessing this was stopped [when it was]. Who knew when this guy was going to stop shooting people?" Oklahoma City Police Captain Bo Matthews told reporters.
"Police released a statement alleging that 28-year-old Alexander Tilghman opened fire inside Louie’s On The Lake around 6:30 p.m. Thursday, wounding a 39-year-old woman and two juvenile girls," PBS.org reported. "Tilghman was then shot dead outside the restaurant by two citizens identified by police as Carlos Nazario and Bryan Wittle."
No one but the shooter died during the incident.
The father of a child injured during the shooting "told Facebook friends the armed bystander who took down the shooter was his ‘hero,’" DailyMail.co.uk reported.
"’To the good Samaritan that killed that monster I want to meet you and shake your hand and tell you face to face thank you for saving my daughter’s and everyone else in that restaurants life. You are my hero sir,’ he wrote."
Lake Hefner shooting update: A man walked into the Louie’s restaurant and opened fire with a gun. Two people were shot. One person has been taken to a hospital with serious injuries. A bystander with a pistol confronted the shooter outside the restaurant and fatally shot him.
