Apparently, not all of Hollywood is anti-gun.
It is one of the most liberal places in America.
But one world-famous actor just did something that’ll infuriate his anti-gun peers.
Rob Schneider is famous for a number of movie roles, including Deuce Bigalow and The Benchwarmers, and he has also become famous in recent years for being a conservative.
This is a rare breed of people in Hollywood, as the movie industry is known for being extremely liberal, and conservative actors often have a hard time even finding roles.
But Schneider has not been shy about his views, and apparently his conservative ideology extends to guns as well.
Schneider was recently photographed posing with an AR-15 in a photo that will almost certainly drive his peers in the movie industry crazy.
The anti-gun sentiment is extremely strong, and many Hollywood actors have campaigned actively for more gun control laws in America, something it appears Schneider is not in favor of.
He is certainly causing a stir by taking this picture, but gun owners will be happy to see that someone in Hollywood is on their side, even if most actors are not.
According to Bearing Arms, “Comedian Rob Schneider might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but he’s had some memorable roles in some of my favorite movies. He’s a funny guy, and he’s also someone who hasn’t gone down the anti-gun rabbit hole like many in Hollywood.”
“Schneider isn’t as outspoken about his Second Amendment support as, say, Ted Nugent is–hiya, Ted!–but few really are. The fact that he’s outspoken about his politics at all is impressive, and being a Second Amendment supporter is still worthy of even more respect for anyone who works inside the Hollywood bubble to any degree.”
The article then links to a picture of Schneider holding the AR-15, with the caption “I got my anti- @Tesla Arson Protection Device. AVAILABLE NOW!! Get YOURS @NemoArms and Scottsdale Tactical.”
Schneider is referencing the spree of vandalism that has taken place against Teslas in the wake of Elon Musk’s political activity as a member of the Trump administration.
It’s clear that Schneider sees guns as a useful way of protecting oneself and does not have the same opposition to them that so many Hollywood actors have.
The article continues, “Of course, I wouldn’t put that out there myself, simply because some people are idiots, but Schneider is free to do what he wants here.”
“As for Schneider himself, I love seeing someone in the entertainment industry show that he supports the right to keep and bear arms, and that he will exercise it himself. He got a gorgeous gun, a fun magazine, and a post that’s probably making all the right heads explode.”
Schneider is certainly going to cause controversy with this post, but he has every right to own an AR-15 and take a picture of himself doing so.
His peers in the movie industry may not be happy about it, but it doesn’t seem that Schneider cares much.
