This wasn’t what Donald Trump expected to hear from his supporters.

He thought everyone was totally happy with him.

But one powerful gun group delivered Trump a startling message.

Donald Trump is a complicated figure to many people in the gun community, as they appreciate everything he is doing to tear down the radical left.

However, at the same time, they are not always sure if they can trust him when it comes to the gun issue specifically, as he has said and done some questionable things on guns over the years.

That’s why groups like Gun Owners of America are making it a high priority to push Trump to do the right thing on guns.

They are doing this not by attacking him, like so many in the media do, but by politely nudging him and reminding him how many of his voters are gun owners.

This is a message Trump may be surprised to hear, as many of his supporters do not like to criticize him on anything.

But the gun community is very serious about not having their freedoms taken away, and they want Trump to do the right thing.

According to The Truth About Guns, “The pro-gun group Gun Owners of America (GOA) strongly supported President Donald Trump during last year’s election, sending out many communications to members explaining how his stance on the Second Amendment compared to that of the other candidate, Vice President Kamala Harris.

“Now, the organization is encouraging its members to remind the president of certain promises he made during the campaign regarding the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms.”

Regardless of Trump’s personal feelings about guns, as he grew up in New York City where there is very little law-abiding gun culture, he got tens of millions of votes from gun owners.

Protecting the freedoms of the people who voted for him is something that should be very high on his priority list.

The article continues, “GOA is particularly interested in three matters that President Trump specifically promised to take action on while on the campaign trail—stopping the Biden pistol brace ban, revoking the Universal Background Check rule and ending Biden’s ‘Zero Tolerance’ policy on gun stores. To that end, GOA has prepared a letter that members and other gun owners can sign onto that will be sent to the president as a reminder that there’s work to do as far as gun rights are concerned.”

These are all things Trump should be able to do with relative ease, as he has not shied away from controversial issues during the first days of his new administration.

Helping gun owners on these basic Second Amendment issues should be a slam dunk for him, and perhaps it will be.

But Gun Owners of America is not going to assume that, and they are holding him to task and urging their members to contact the White House.

And perhaps if they put enough pressure on him, he will help gun owners and restore the Second Amendment.
