ABOUT TISAS

Established in 1993, Tisas has produced firearms for civilians, law enforcement, and military units on five continents. Tisas believes in old-world craftsmanship in every one of its products and produces a lineup of pistols ranging from polymer-framed models to 1911 style, ranging from John Browning’s original design to the double-stack 2011. In early 2022, with an announcement at the NSSF Shot Show, Tisas USA began operations in Knoxville, Tennessee, to be the exclusive importer of their products. The mission at Tisas is simple: Provide high-quality top-tier firearms at an unrivaled value to their customers because they know that consumers have limitless choices. Tisas Means Quality, and they back it up with their lifetime service plan.

THE FRAME

The textured polymer frame is ergonomic and features interchangeable backstraps for a proper grip. It’s equipped with a beavertail and Picatinny rail for lights or lasers and a black tenifer finish.

The flat tactical trigger is excellent with a smooth, consistent pull, a clean 4-5 pound break, and is equipped with an integrated safety bar. Other features include an ambidextrous slide stop lever and a reversible magazine release, making the 5.7 perfect for both right and left handed shooters.

THE SLIDE & BARREL

The slide is carbon steel with serrations for an enhanced grip during manipulation, and it is finished in QPQ Tenifer Cerakote. It’s equipped with Glock pattern sights with a fiber optic front for fast sight alignment and target acquisition, as well as a blacked-out serrated rear. It’s optics ready and cut from the factory to accept a direct mount RMSc pattern optic. The barrel is forged & machined with button rifling and finished in black Tenifer for durability and accuracy.

THE VERDICT

The debate on the 5.7 caliber continues, with half of the shooters loving it for its penetration capabilities and the other half hating it as an unnecessarily expensive caliber. With a recoil that’s less than 9mm, many shooters have been considering the 5.7 round. The TX 5.7 is an excellent personal defense weapon in this popular caliber at a price point well below the original. The Tisas 5.7 pistol comes standard with its premium lockable hard case, two magazines, cleaning kit, trigger lock, and instruction manual.

That’s all for now, folks! Please keep sending in your questions, tips, and article ideas. And as always – “Let’s Be Careful Out There.”
