The entire Constitution, not just the Second Amendment, is in serious danger.

One new gun control law will shatter everyone’s rights, from top to bottom.

Citizens need to be aware about what the government is doing to them.

The core parts of the Bill of Rights – the 1st, 2nd, and 4th Amendments – are all under constant attack by the radical Left.

Sometimes the attacks even overlap, with legislation that chips away at the Constitution in multiple different ways with the goal of increasing the power of the government.

That is exactly what is happening with a new law that has taken effect in California, which will lead to guns being tracked by the state.

Gavin Newsom and his cronies in California want to find out exactly who is buying and selling guns and gather information on them for undisclosed purposes.

And they want to export this legislation to other states, with the ultimate goal of making it a national program.

If this plan succeeds, it will not only ravage the Second Amendment, but the Fourth Amendment as well, since it is a major invasion of the privacy of American citizens.

According to ABC News, “Beginning Monday, a California law will require credit card networks like Visa and Mastercard to provide banks with special retail codes that can be assigned to gun stores in order to track their sales.

“But new laws will do the exact opposite in Georgia, Iowa, Tennessee and Wyoming by banning the use of specific gun shop codes.

“The conflicting laws highlight what has quietly emerged as one of the nation’s newest gun policy debates, dividing state capitols along familiar partisan lines.”

It is, of course, a great thing that states like the four listed above have pushed back against this policy.

But the risk is that Newsom and his friends will succeed at convincing Congress to pass a law like this, which will then override the laws those states have passed.

The article continues, “Some Democratic lawmakers and gun-control activists hope the new retail tracking code will help financial institutions flag suspicious gun-related purchases for law enforcement agencies, potentially averting mass shootings and other crimes. Lawmakers in Colorado and New York have followed California’s lead.”

“But many Republican lawmakers and gun-rights advocates fear the retail code could lead to unwarranted suspicion of gun buyers who have done nothing wrong. Over the past 16 months, 17 states with GOP-led legislatures have passed measures prohibiting a firearms store code or limiting its use.”

The problem is that “unwarranted suspicion of gun buyers” isn’t a bug, it’s a feature. It is the whole purpose behind this plan.

The people who are pushing this believe that all gun owners deserve suspicion, not just the ones committing violence.

That’s why they want to track everybody, instead of doing the basic work to stop violence like better policing of the streets.

Gun owners should be keenly aware of what is going on so that they can mobilize to stop the spread of these laws.
