This information wasn’t supposed to be leaked on camera.
The ATF tried to hide this ugly truth from the public.
But now this scandalous video is going viral and the ATF is in big trouble.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is the federal government’s gun control agency. But they apparently don’t know much about the guns they are trying to control.
Steve Dettelbach, the head of the ATF, went on Face the Nation on CBS as a PR stunt to try to rehabilitate the agency’s reputation.
After all, gun owners have figured out the truth about what the ATF really is, and their popularity has taken a hit as they have tried to use their power to go around Congress and implement gun control.
Dettelbach hoped that by presenting a friendly face to the cameras, he could get people to ignore that inconvenient fact.
But during his interview, he exposed his total lack of knowledge about guns, failing to identify the difference between a clip and a magazine.
ATF Director Steven Dettelbach went on CBS’s Face The Nation & displayed a shocking ignorance of firearms while trying to gin up fear to strip us of our Second Amendment rights.
It should scare everyone that Dettelbach doesn’t know the difference between a clip & a magazine. pic.twitter.com/0cABaCZ2sT

And now this video is going viral around the Internet, and the ATF is facing a PR disaster.
According to The Federalist, “President Joe Biden’s Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms Director Steven Dettelbach seems to know as much about guns as Democrat-nominated Supreme Court justices.
“As ATF head, Dettelbach, who was confirmed in 2022 with the help of Senate Democrats and two Republicans, is expected to understand to some degree the items his agency regulates and enforces. Unfortunately for Americans who have endured a slew of attacks on their Second Amendment rights at the hands of the Biden administration, Dettelbach is publicly ignorant about the guns and gun parts his agency wants to ban.”
The two Republicans, for what it’s worth, were Rob Portman of Ohio, who has since retired, and Susan Collins of Maine, who continues to serve and is still a nemesis for gun owners.
The article continues, “When the interview shifted to a demonstration featuring a table of unloaded firearms, Dettelbach tried his best to make the case for more regulation of law-abiding Americans’ top self-defense option. Even with the help of one of the ATF’s ‘leading experts,’ however, Dettelbach failed to demonstrate knowledge of even the most basic firearm anatomy such as the difference between a clip and a magazine.
“Acting AFT division chief Chris Bort, the ‘expert’ present for the demonstration, also struggled to disassemble a pistol in an attempt to show how allegedly easily Americans can swap firearm frames. Bort is acting head of the ATF’s Firearms Ammunition Technology Division.”
These are Democratic Party hires.
Allegedly an “expert”.
Today on Face the Nation:
Chris Bort—the acting chief of the ATF’s Firearms Ammunition Technology Division couldn’t assemble or disassemble a Glock.
Surely he couldn’t arrest or jail anyone. pic.twitter.com/cPReHWeTdc

It’s clear that these people are nothing more than Democrat operatives who were chosen for their positions due to their loyalty to the party, not their expertise.
They obviously have little to no experience with guns and have virtually no knowledge of what they are supposed to be regulating.
This is bad news for the ATF, as it exposes them as a partisan agency that is simply doing the bidding of Joe Biden and his gun control agenda.
