Pedo Pete’s minions at the BATFE published their unconstitutional, unworkable brace ban on the federal register. Now that the United States is a post Constitutional banana republic, brace owners have 120 days to get their minds right and register them.

The BATFE has downplayed the impact of the change in the law that they don’t have the authority to make. They expect 60 % of brace owners to comply with the illegal ruling by registering owned braces.

BATFE created a 95-page impact analysis of the 293-page rule regulating braced pistols and believes that most owners will comply and register their guns despite online campaigns calling for a mass boycott of the new regulations. Second Amendment groups have filed lawsuits to stop the implementation of the so-called rule change.

The new rule will require brace owners to complete an application, pay a $200 tax, register their weapons, file fingerprints, and include photographs of the gun with the brace attached.

Those who register within 120 days will not have to pay the tax.

Opponents have claimed that the rule will impact millions of gun owners and up to 40 million firearms.

In their impact analysis, ATF estimates that a mere three million people will be impacted, and of those with braced firearms, 826,000 will register their 1.6 million weapons; the rest will either turn their weapons in at ATF or will destroy or alter their weapons.

The ATF also estimates that while the tax will be set aside, owners will pay about $133 to comply with the new rule. Yeah, right.

The rule dropped on January 31, 2023, in the federal register, and the clock is ticking. Brace owners have 120 days to comply. Several gun groups have filed lawsuits to stop the rule, while so-called conservative lawmakers are planning to step in with legislative prohibitions.

They’re coming for your guns, Folks!

That’s all for now, folks! Please keep sending in your questions, tips, and article ideas. And as always – “Let’s Be Careful Out There.”
