A dramatic story is spreading like wildfire about a mother who saved her children.

She was faced with a terrifying situation as her family was threatened.

But she used a gun to save lives, and now she is being hailed as a hero.

Supporters of gun rights are often told by the media and the gun control lobby that there are no stories of people using guns to save lives.

Of course, this is nonsense. Stories are constantly popping up of good guys with guns using them to stop people who want to harm others.

Burglaries and break-ins happen, especially in higher-crime areas, and people need to protect their families somehow, as the police are generally 10 minutes away or more.

In South Carolina, one mother simply did not have the time to wait for the police to show up after someone broke into her house.

She had to act quickly to save the lives of her children from an intruder.

Thankfully, she had a gun, and she was able to use it to protect her children from harm and neutralize the threat.

According to Bearing Arms, “A mother in Richland County, South Carolina was acting in defense of herself and her two children when she shot and killed a man who broke into her apartment early Sunday morning, according to the county sheriff. Officials haven’t said if the woman knew her assailant or what might have motivated him to break through the door of her apartment around 5 a.m., but it didn’t take them long to determine that the shooting was a justified use of force.”

The article doesn’t say where exactly in Richland County the shooting took place, but Richland County is where the city of Columbia is located.

Crime is very high in certain parts of Columbia, and it’s entirely possible that this mother knew she had to own a gun in case something like this happened.

According to ABC, which the Bearing Arms article links to, “The woman claims she heard banging at the door to her residence that she shared with her two minor children. As she approached the door, the man gained entry into the apartment. The woman told deputies she retrieved a gun from her purse and asked the man to identify himself. He continued to approach the woman and at that time she shot and killed him. She called law enforcement immediately after this occurred.”

No one can possibly know what this man was trying to do and why he decided to break into the woman’s apartment.

But she had every reason to believe he had violent intentions, and that she had to take immediate action to save the lives of her children.

Thankfully she had the tools to do so and no one was killed except for the intruder himself.

But anti-gun politicians want to take away firearms from people like this who are trying to protect their families, and it is crucial that these politicians don’t get their way.
