Throughout his career Joe Biden has had numerous humiliating verbal gaffes.

But this may be one of his worst.

Joe Biden tried to talk about guns but ended up making yet another embarrassing gaffe.

Politicians who try to push gun control frequently have little experience with guns and do not know what they are talking about.

They know that their constituents in liberal areas of the country are uncomfortable with guns, and so they pander to them without worrying about the small detail of getting their facts right.

This leads to bad gun control policies that take away people’s rights without actually stopping the violence that anti-gunners think they are going to stop.

Joe Biden is as guilty of this as anyone, and his ignorance was on display once again during a speech that he gave in response to a mass shooting that happened in Iowa.

He was at a church in South Carolina and started talking about gun control after the shooting at Perry High School in Perry, Iowa.

But Biden was humiliated after it was discovered that the gun control proposals that he laid out in the speech would not have stopped the shooting.

According to Breitbart, “While giving a speech Monday at Mother Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, South Carolina, President Biden referenced Thursday’s shooting at Iowa’s Perry High School then pushed gun control that would not have prevented the shooting from taking place.

“Breitbart News reported the Iowa shooting was carried out by a 17-year-old armed with a pump shotgun and a small caliber handgun.”

What guns did Biden want to ban in response to the shooting? Well, it certainly wasn’t pump shotguns or small caliber handguns.

The article continues, “On Monday, Biden spoke about the Iowa shooting then pushed an ‘assault weapons’ ban, which would include a ‘high capacity’ magazine ban, and universal background checks.

“A pump shotgun is not prohibited under an ‘assault weapons’ ban, nor would a small caliber handgun be prohibited. Also, 17-years of age is too young to buy a gun, so background checks — whether at retail, private, or both — would not come into play.”

It’s almost like Biden just had a stock answer ready and waiting for one of these shootings to occur. And he wasn’t the only one.

The article continues, “Breitbart News noted that gun control group Newtown Action Alliance also responded to the Iowa shotgun attack by pushing an ‘assault weapons’ ban.”

Pro-gun activists have made numerous proposals that would have an actual practical effect on making schools safer, such as additional security measures for the school buildings, or even allowing teachers to carry if they so choose.

Meanwhile, anti-gunners like Joe Biden are making proposals that have nothing to do with the events that actually took place.

Joe Biden should get more informed on guns before he opens his mouth about gun control.

Maybe he would realize that his assumptions about guns are misinformed and that gun control isn’t the cure-all solution that he thinks it is.
